In brief
KaliaOps protects your data with automatic infrastructure-managed backups. You can export your data anytime for your own needs. When needed, restoration is performed on request via support.

Frequency
- Daily backups: Every night
- Weekly backups: Kept longer
- Database snapshots: Regular restore points
Scope
Backups include:
- All your tenant data
- Configuration and settings
- History and audit logs

Manual export
You can export your data anytime.
Exportable entities
- CMDB: Assets, applications, contracts, VLANs
- Organization: Organizations, teams, employees, sites
- ITSM: Incidents, problems, changes, requests
- Projects: Complete portfolio
Formats
- CSV: Excel, BI tools compatible
- PDF: Formatted reports
Export procedure
- Go to desired module (Assets, Incidents, etc.)
- Apply filters if needed
- Click "Export"
- Select format
- Download the file
Large exports
For large data volumes:
- Export is processed in background
- You receive notification when complete
- File available in "My exports"
Tip: Schedule regular exports of critical data to have a local copy if needed.
Restoration
Data restoration is performed on request via KaliaOps support.
Restoration cases
- Accidental deletion: Recover mistakenly deleted data
- Mass error: Undo a bulk modification
- Audit: Access a prior data state

- Describe the data to restore
- Specify desired date (restore point)
- Support team analyzes feasibility
- Restoration is performed after validation
Timeframes

Limitations
- Restoration possible within last 30 days
- Beyond that, subject to archive availability

Regular export
We recommend:
- Monthly export: Critical data (assets, contracts)
- Quarterly export: Full CMDB
- Local archiving: Keep exports on your infrastructure
Before major changes
Export data before:
- Mass import
- Bulk deletion
- Migration or reorganization

Restore testing

- Open CSV files in Excel
